Bengt-Erik Olsson grew up with the famous piano teacher Georgius Skwatsnadjuz as his only friend and a piano as his only toy. In other words, Bengt-Erik Olsson had reasonably big expectations to live up to. After receiving great fame as a child prodigy, long tours and rumours that his music could even heal the sick everything suddenly changed - Georgius died and Bengt-Erik's existence went to pieces.
The True Story of Bengt-Erik Olsson's Last Concert constantly evolves between dream and reality, in a blend of concert, theatre and dance. In the course of one hour the audience is encouraged to take part of a pianist's agony, rapture, hate and love towards his instrument. |
